As a follow-up to the “Health Geography: XII International Symposium on Geospatial Health” that has been successfully conducted by IGU and the International Society of Geospatial Health (GnosisGIS) in Moscow, June 2018, we propose a special issue of the journal “Geography. Environment. Sustainability”. The special issue will be devoted to all aspects of the use of up-to-date GIS techniques, methods of spatial analysis and remote sensing data in health geography, as applied to both human and animal health. We invite the Symposium participants as well as all interested researchers to submit their valuable studies, which are expected to contribute into the development of global computer-based models that can be used for improved control programs for various diseases of medical and veterinary importance.

Deadline: December 1th, 2019
