The special issue "Assessment and management of regional environmental pollution" is dedicated to the 23rd International Conference "Actual Problems of Ecology and Environmental Management" which will be held on April 21-23, 2022 at the Institute of Environmental Management of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia (RUDN University). Traditionally scientists from universities and scientific organizations from many regions of Russia and the countries of Europe and Asia will take part in the conference. The issue will include selected papers containing the results of interdisciplinary research related to the geoecological aspects of environmental management, environmental geochemistry issues, environmental monitoring and ways to reduce chemical pollution of the environment.
